A Visit of Jaisalmer Fort (Rajasthan) – The Jaisalmer fort is situated in the Jaisalmer which is a very famous city of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer is famous for it’s rich heritage in fort, temples. The architecture structure of the fort is very beautiful. The fort was built in 1156 on the Terikuta Hills by the Rao Jaisal which is a Bhati  Rajput ruler. It is made up with yellow sandstone. The length of fort is 460 meter and the width of for is 230 meter. This fort was including in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 37th metting of world heritage commetie. The famous Indian film “Sonnar Kella” is suited in this fort which is directed by famous director Mr. Satyajit Ray. It was the second oldest fort of Rajasthan.The fort has 99 bastions. Many other famous places which are inside the Jaisalmer fort is Raj Mahal merchant havelis and Laxminath temple. The most attractive temples is Parshwanath Temple.

It is a very famous place to visit.  The architecture design is nice. This temple is situated in Ludhrawa which a village in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). This temple was destroyed in 1178 AD. by Mahmood Ghori. This temple was constructed many timestimes like;1615,1675 and 1687.It was rebuilt in 1970. The wall of the temple is covered with the picture of human and animals. A small dome is also in the temple  which is attract the tourist because it is covered by lotus flowers.

Jaisalmer is a golden city.  Because the color of the forts is mainly golden.  We can reach at Jaisalmer by air, train and bus.  A domestic airport is in Jodhpur.The distance between Jaisalmer and domestic airport of Jodhpur is 290 Killometers. The flights are avilable from Delhi,  Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta.Trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur for Jodhpur. When we go by bus at Jaisalmer from Delhi first we go at Jaipur and then we change the bus for Jaisalmer.
